Trading Doughty is the worst thing that LA could do. Their D is nothing without him. Even if trading him guaranteed Jack Hughes, it probably wouldn't be worth it, since we've seen the limited results of having superstar forwards without a solid defense behind them. If Blake thinks that Muzzin will be able to take Doughty's place, he's very much mistaken.

Wouldn't you use karlsson as a benchmark and add a few more pieces to get to the better dman in doughty? Surely it's not a jump from bit pieces to Matthew's or marner though.

I would not give up all these players but it would take these type of players. Players like Nelson and Eberle would not cut it. Maybe someone like Pulock but you have to add more.
